The Golden Rule: Jacks Lift, Stands Hold
No hydraulic jack is safe to work under. Seals fail and the vehicle drops in seconds. Lift with the jack, then lower onto axle stands at the manufacturer's designated support points.
Vehicle Lift Selection
- Two-post: Most common for general repair; wheels hang free.
- Four-post: For alignment and heavy vehicles; more stable.
- Scissor lift: Space-saving, ideal for tyre and brake work.
- Capacity: Choose 25% above your heaviest vehicle. Floor concrete thickness matters at installation.
